Left Kassel early this morning, that gave me enough time to see some more of the public Art of the Dokumenta. I picked up two groups of spectators around me. Either school classes or international visitors. While sitting with closed eyes on a bench, I was able to listen to all these languages surrounding me. That was a kind of art itself 😉
Then I remembered what Michael Szecsenyi, the 80 year old resident of Kassel-Nordstadt told me yesterday about his opinion to Documenta and art in general: „Art is a question of taste! If you do not like it, you do not go there. The only art I ever liked, was the 7000 young oak trees, planted by Joseph Beuys.“
I think, its always the personal perception, that matters at the end. I came as far as Nieste today. 23km
