The 24th of September 2017 will be the day of the next federal election in Germany. Talking to people here, I sometimes get the feeling that there is a growing uncertainty about the outcome of that election. Almost weekly pollsters predict new constellations and alliances. Maybe politicians care more about their media ego than about their people?
Which vibe bothers the nation right now? How does Germany look like in late summer 2017?
My project is focused on the 50 days before this important date. It gives me enough time to hike from Aachen to Zittau. Crossing Germany from the west towards the east. I do not know what is happening or who I am going to meet!
But walking will give me the opportunity and time to see more details than any other transportation mode. To visualize these details you need high resolution, therefore I chose a middle format camera with 100 Million Pixel and only one wide-angle lens.
Call it a visual investigation to capture single moments of landscape, cities, people and more.
